Bailey JHS Senior Portraits 2017

I would like to introduce you to Bailey. She has attended high school in California and Texas, where she was in the Future Farmers of America at both schools. You will see she proudly wears her jackets! Bailey’s family decided they wanted to return to Texas after having lived in California for some time, and settled in a comfortable, small town named Joshua. And, it suits Bailey to be in a little bit of a country environment, being in FFA and all.

Oh, and here are those jackets, also!

Bailey made this session a breeze! I didn’t have to tell her to smile like she meant it, or explain a difficult pose. I was able to capture some of her bright character as it was shining through.

She is looking to major in biology and, from there, to enter into the medical field to help people out. That is a great path, I think. Keep up the good work, and continue working hard!

Oh, did I mention she is Texas proud? And going to go to SFA for that degree in Biology? She even wore a Texas scarf to the session. You can see it in one of the images above.

Until next time,

Jesse, Leighton, and Lynnex

Ahoy there!

Oi! Things lately have been a little offset, to say the least. I am very happy to be getting back to you on a regular basis.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of creating some wonderful family portraits for a Marine and his family while he was home for a short time.

Jesse has spent his time as a dedicated serviceman, and his wife and daughter, Leighton and Lynnex, miss him every second he is not home. And you can definitely see that here in these select few images. Their family is tightly woven, and happy all around.

Jesse’s time in has consisted of over 4 years so far, and he carries it well. Him and his daughter display a wonderful connection with each other, too. The entire time we were shooting this session, Lynnex was happy as could be with her daddy by her side, and they were making each other laugh and smile, as well as Leighton.

This happy family started when these two were married on March 8th, 2014, after 2 years of being together. You could say they have a connection, for sure! They did the hard work of only seeing each other every 3 months, sometimes only talking for an hour on Sunday. They would take turns flying out to see each other to make it work while he was in training and afterward.
I worked with Leighton at my previous job, and she is a very happy individual, but happy when her family is whole! But, she is always smiling.

During the time we spent on location, we had some chickens coming up to say “hi.” Lynnex was happy for them, even going into a little shack as she follow them. But most of the chickens wanted to run around more than even Lynnex did!

This is the Lanier family, my followers and readers! Thank you for stopping in to read a little about them. I respect each of them and look forward to seeing their family grow once time allows.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Until next time,

Taylor Senior 2017

Hello again! I apologize for the hiatus, life has been a little hectic lately.

Anywho, I am glad to return to you, my readers, with a little bit about this beautiful young lady named Taylor.

Taylor is graduating high school in a couple of months, so we had to get out and capture a few images of her senior year.

She plays percussion, mainly the snare and bass. Band is a little something she has done since middle school, along with show choir.

“Tay,” as some call her, is a fantastic soul. I have seen her grow from a kid into a wonderful adult with a big heart. She is going to attend UNT to major in psychology and family counseling, while also aiming to make their drumline. She really does set a good bar for being a good human being and wanting to help the world. Always having a heart that allowed her to be kind is a plus, also.

Taking her senior portraits also gave me an opportunity to see where I have grown. I captured some sibling pictures for her and her brother, Cody, a few years ago. And being able to see her grow from there to now, as well as my desire for portrait photography, is a blessing. Jesus gives, and He doesn’t cut short for people.

I am happy to have been given this opportunity to provide Taylor’s family with these images, and to learn how she wants to contribute back to society with her future path.

Good luck, Taylor! (Not that you need it. You’re a pretty bright kid…er, adult!)

Oh, and I had to include the image above, because that is how I know her. She’s still a kid to me, but a grown up kid!

Until next time,

Coffee Date Announcement

To my daily readers, I bring you a new type of announcement. A coffee date announcement!

Mandi contacted me one day looking for someone to recreate an image she noticed online for her and her husband, Justin. We discussed it for a little bit, but I threw a couple of ideas her way. After a couple of weeks of hammering out ideas and details, we went down a different path. And I am so glad we did!

You see, Justin and Mandi are avid coffee drinkers, and they had something they wanted to tell the world.

So, as they sit and sip they coffee, we talked a little about who they were and their announcement they had for their friends and family.

I guess, to show their loved ones and us, it was going to have to be a little shocking.

After all, it might be a surprise to a few people…Justin and Mandi are adding something to their family, and it’s not more coffee!

Mandi wanted me to create an announcement card for her to send out to friends and family, and this is the final product. I am very glad she contacted me, and very happy to have been able to create this for them!

I hear her loved ones enjoyed the cards. I wonder if Justin has woken up yet?

Just kidding! This was purely an announcement made in humor, he didn’t really pass out…he already knew!

I firmly believe their new addition is going to be blessed beyond belief after his/her arrival in October.

Until next time,

Kris and Fallon

Welcome back!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Kris and Fallon, and capturing some images of their great family.

Truth be told, my wife has known Fallon since way back in school, and has watched her daughter, Savannah, grow up over the years. That doesn’t take away from the uniqueness of each sister.

Each girl has their own style and personality. Let’s hope they don’t clash!

Fallon was one of my clients over the Christmas holidays that was suppose to get some Christmas pictures done, but the weather was working against us each time we scheduled a day. We ended up having to schedule a family session outside of Christmas, and I am glad we were able to follow through with it! The weather was helpful, this time!

Oh, and as you can see above, the girls did NOT want to see Kris and Fallon share even the slightest bit of affection!

But in the end, aside from silliness, this family is quite the pleasure to work with. You can see the happiness within them.
